Hello! This week should be great fun. It's a second look at a series we did a few years back about those creative folks on Madison Avenue and their peers around the globe. With billion-dollar budgets and some of the best and brightest working for them, advertising companies have made a huge impact on popular culture. We can only hope that this week's series will leave its mark as well!
ENDORSE 承認する、支持する、推奨する
- To endorse something or someone is to say publicly that you approve of or support them.
To endorse a product is to say that you recommend it; for example, in an advertisement.
The noun form is endorsement. - endorse は、人やものを認める、または、支持すると、公然と表明する、という意味です。
商品について endorse と言うと、広告などにおいてその商品を勧める、という意味です。
名詞形は endorsement で、承認、支持、推奨、という意味です。
- Several local environmental NGOs are endorsing the proposal by Berlitz Wind Power to install wind turbines on Hurricane Hill.
