You know, there are some words in the English business lexicon that are so important that a whole week can be built around them. Well, this is one such week. And the word? Well, it's an old friend from a few weeks ago. Please join us in welcoming back "order"!
PURCHASE ORDER / WORK ORDER 注文書/作業注文書
- A purchase order is a formal written request for goods or services, showing that a company agrees to buy a specific number of items at a specific price.
A work order is a similar request for work (e.g., installations, repairs, or renovations) to be done. - purchase order は、商品やサービスに対する正式な書面による依頼で、企業が一定の数の商品を、特定の価格で購入することに同意する旨を示したもの、つまり、注文書のことです。
work order は、据え付けや修理、修繕などの作業の実施に対する、同様の依頼のことです。
