Here's a heart-healthy WordMaster edition to take you over the Wednesday hump! (For an explanation of “the hump”, see the greeting in our 6 June 2001 edition.)
BLOOD PRESSURE 血圧
- Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the blood vessels (= the tubes through which blood moves around the body).
- blood pressure とは、血管(血液が体内をめぐるための管)の壁を押す血液の圧力、つまり、血圧のことです。
- My blood pressure is 115/75 (pronounced “115 over 75”), which is in the normal range.
- After weighing me and measuring my height, the nurse took my blood pressure and asked me a few questions about my medical history.
- My husband has high blood pressure, so I have to be careful about the amount of salt I use when cooking.
- My doctor thinks I may be able to stop taking medicine for my high blood pressure soon.
- The patient was immediately given oxygen when her blood pressure dropped suddenly.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
