ECONOMIES OF SCALE   スケールメリット The expression economies of scale refers to the decrease in the cost (per unit) of production, distribution, and operation as the size of a business's operations increases. economies of scale は、企業の業務拡大に伴う、生産、流通、業務コストの（単位あたりの）低下、つまり、スケールメリットをさす表現です。

	The economies of scale that can be achieved by warehouse stores give them a huge competitive advantage over smaller businesses. Now that the travel agency has grown to over 50 locations, it has the economies of scale and buying clout to offer bigger discounts to its customers. (small business owner) We simply don't have the necessary volume of inventory to achieve economies of scale for our business.
