Explanation

  • A woman is pregnant when she carries a baby inside her body.

    Pregnancy is the condition of being pregnant.

    Be Careful! Although in Japan they say a woman is pregnant for 10 months, in English-speaking countries the period is usually counted as 9 months.
  • pregnant は、女性の体内に赤ちゃんがいる、つまり、妊娠している、という意味です。

    pregnancy は、妊娠、という意味です。

    注意:日本では、妊娠している期間は10か月といわれますが、英語圏の国では、普通9か月といわれます。
