Explanation

  • A comb (noun) is a tool - often made of plastic or metal - with a row of closely-spaced, long, narrow “teeth” that you pass through your hair to make it look neat.

    To comb (verb) your hair is to use a comb to make your hair neat.
  • comb は、髪をとかして整えるのに使う、プラスチックや金属などでできた、細長い歯が細かく並んで付いている道具、つまり、くしのことです。

    動詞の comb は、くしを使って髪をとかす、という意味になります。
