Explanation

  • GDP is an abbreviation for gross domestic product. It is the total value of all goods and services produced WITHIN a country in a year, including those produced at foreign-owned facilities.

    GNP is an abbreviation for gross national product. It is the total value of all goods and services produced BY a country, including those produced by domestic companies at facilities abroad.
  • GDP とは、 gross domestic product の略で、1年間に国内で生産された、外資系の施設で生産されたものを含む財やサービスの価値の合計、つまり、国内総生産のことです。

    GNP とは、 gross national product の略で、国が生産した、国内企業が海外の施設で生産したものを含む財やサービスの価値の合計、つまり、国民総生産のことです。
