Explanation

  • Chocolate is a sweet food made from the seeds of the cacao tree.

    Be Careful[1]! The word chocolate is usually uncountable when used to talk about the ingredient, but can be countable when used to talk about a small piece of candy made with chocolate.

    Be Careful[2]! “Choco” （チョコ） is Japanese-English.
  • chocolate とは、カカオの木の実から作られる甘い食べ物のことです。

    注意[1]： chocolate は、通常、数えられない名詞ですが、chocolate を使った小さなお菓子（あめ、ナッツなどをチョコレートで固めたもの）について話している場合は、数えられる名詞として使うこともできます。
