Explanation
To cover costs, expenses, etc., is to be or provide enough money to pay for something.
費用や経費などについて cover と言うと、何かの代金を支払うのに十分なお金である、または十分なお金を提供する、という意味になります。

2 The company will only cover my travel costs while I'm attending the conference.
