- Your word is a promise that you make.
To “give someone your word” is to promise them something.
If someone “has your word”, you've promised them something.
To “keep your word” is to keep a promise, and to “go back on your word” is to break a promise. - your word とは、自分がした約束のことです。
give someone your word は、誰かに何かを約束する、という意味です。
someone has your word は、誰かに何かを約束している、という意味です。
