  • To reimburse someone is to pay them back money they've spent (for example, as part of their job) or to give them money for damage or loss.

    The noun form is reimbursement.
  • reimburse とは、誰かが(例えば、仕事の一環で)支払ったお金をその人に払い戻す、または、損害や損失に対して誰かにお金を払う、という意味です。

    名詞形は reimbursement で、払い戻し、という意味です。



  1. (supervisor to employee about to leave on a business trip)
    Of course, you'll be reimbursed for any money you spend on accommodation, meals, or ground transportation.
  2. With the company's insurance policy, employees pay for doctor's and dentist's appointments out of pocket (= with their own money) first. We reimburse those expenses later, usually within six weeks.
  3. Any reimbursement for damages during shipping will be determined based on the declared value of the goods.
