  • A lease is a written agreement that allows someone to rent an apartment, office space, car, etc., from the owner for a period of time.
  • lease とは、誰かが所有者からある期間、アパート、事務所スペース、自動車などを賃借することを認める、書面による契約、つまり、賃貸借契約のことです。

  1. I was at the real estate office, signing the lease on the apartment.
  2. They actually have a two-year lease, but their landlord agreed to let them end the lease early.
  3. We have to renew our lease (= sign a new lease in order to continue living in the apartment) next month.
