Greetings!

There are many ways to prepare for a job. You can get an advanced degree, do an internship, or pay your dues in an entry-level position. But once you've acquired that valuable set of skills and knowledge, you'll be like a lovely, ripe piece of fruit, which employers will be scrambling over each other to pick! Just be careful not to become TOO ripe!

Today's Lesson
QUALIFIED / OVER QUALIFIED

Explanation

  • To be qualified is to have the knowledge, skills, or experience necessary for a particular job.

To be overqualified is to have MORE knowledge, skills, or experience than is necessary or desirable for a particular job.
