Explanation

  • The population of a country, city, etc. is all the people living there. It is also the number of people living there.

    Overpopulation is when there are too many people for the amount of land, water, and other resources in an area.
  • population とは、国、都市など特定の地域の住民、または、そこの住民の総数(人口)、という意味です。

    overpopulation とは、ある地域の土地や水、その他の資源の量に対して、人の数が多すぎる状態のことです。

    It says here that about one-sixth of the world's population doesn't have access to clean water.

    b: Around 12 million.
