Explanation

  • A cashier is a person responsible for receiving money from, and making change for, customers at a restaurant, supermarket, shop, etc.
  • cashier とは、レストランやスーパーマーケット、小売店などでお客さんからお金を預ったり、つり銭を出したりする役割を持つ人です。

examples

  1. (a man to his wife as they leave a restaurant)
    Wait! I think the cashier gave me the wrong change. I'll be right back.
