Happy New Year, and welcome to the first edition of WordMaster@Work for the year 2009!
If you're also a reader of WordMaster For Life, then you know that we've been making our first post-holiday edition a sort of “kakizome” (first calligraphy of the New Year) to set the tone for the New Year. Well, this year, @Work takes over that tradition with a whole WEEK of “kakizome.” This is a group of words that we would all do well to aspire to in 2009!

- Someone is professional if they demonstrate the appropriate behavior, attitude, and skill for a well-trained person in that job.
