  • To commute is to travel regularly to and from the office or school.

    Your commute is the trip you take to and from the office or school.
  • 動詞の commute は、会社や学校に通勤する、通学する、という意味です。

    名詞の commute は、通勤、通学、という意味です。


  1. a: How do you commute to the office?
    b: I take the train.
  2. Most people in Los Angeles commute to work by car.
  3. I really don't like commuting in the summer. The buses are so hot and uncomfortable.
  4. a: My daughter, Nancy, has a two-hour commute to school every day.
    b: Why doesn't she move into campus housing?
