Today we launch a three-part series on the word over - a little word that's surprisingly versatile. We hope you like it!

OVER (= more than) ~より多く、~を超えて
- Over can be used to mean “more than”.
- over には、~より多く、~を超えて、という意味があります。

- They say that there are now over 750 billionaires in the world. I wish I was one of them!
- Passengers with luggage over 65 pounds have to pay an excess-baggage fee of $100.
- MOTORIST: What's the problem, officer?
POLICEMAN: You were driving over 50 miles per hour. The speed limit here is 35. - I got to the doctor's office at 9:30 and didn't see the doctor until 12:45. I had to wait over 3 hours!
