Explanation

  • A way is a path along which you walk, drive, etc. to get from one place to another.
  • way とは、ある場所から他の場所へ行くのに歩いたり、車を運転したりする道のことです。

examples

  1. (to a gas station attendant)
    a: Can you tell me the way to the Berlitz Hotel?
    b: Sure. Just go straight along this road for another mile, then turn left on Lexington Avenue.
  2. Do you know the way to San Jose?
  3. Can you find your way back to the station by yourself?
  4. a: Sorry I'm late. It took me longer to get here than I expected.
    b: What way did you come?
    a: I took Valley Road.
    b: Oh, you took the long way!
  5. Are you sure this is the right way? I don't recognize any of the houses.
  6. a: What's the best way to get to Carson City from here?
    b: If you mean the shortest way, it's Highway 50.
