- A tangible asset is an item that has value and can be touched; for example, cash, a
house, land, or equipment.
An intangible asset is an item that has value but can NOT be touched; for example, a brand, patent, or a company's reputation. - tangible asset は、形があって価値があるものをさします。例えば現金や建物、土地、設備などです。
intangible asset は、形がなくて価値があるもののことです。商標や特許権、企業の世評などがこれにあたります。
- For most private individuals, their most valuable tangible asset is their house.
- The company is suffering huge losses, but if we sell off our manufacturing plants and other tangible assets now, we might still walk away with a profit.
- It's hard to put a dollar and cents value on intangible assets, such as high employee morale and a reputation for quality. But it's easy to see that they are priceless.
- Senior executives need to give more attention to managing their companies' intangible assets.
