CARE FOR ~が好きだ、~が欲しい
- To care
for something is to like it or want it.
Be Careful! This expression is usually only used in polite questions or negative statements. - "care for + 物" は、それが好きだ、とか、それが欲しい、という意味です。
注意:この表現は普通、丁寧な疑問文や、否定文でしか使われません。
- I don't care for Italian food. All the olive oil upsets my stomach.
- WAITER: Would
you care for some dessert?
CUSTOMER: Yes, thank you. I'll have the caramel custard, please. - (at the
man's apartment)
MAN: Would you care for a little music?
WOMAN: That would be nice. Thank you.
