Explanation

  • To rub your eyes is to press a finger or other part of your hand against your eyes while they are closed and move it back and forth.
  • rub your eyes　は、指などで目をこする、という意味です。

examples

  1. With my hay fever, I'm sneezing and rubbing my eyes all day. It's hard to get any work done.
  2. Don't rub your eyes - you'll scratch them. Just blink a few times and whatever's in them should come out.
  3. If you shake hands with someone with a cold and then rub your eyes, there's a good chance you'll catch the virus.
