Hi! We have a great word for you today - one that should be especially useful for those of you who keep putting off buying that first pair of glasses. Maybe you want to increase the font size before you try to read today's edition!

SQUINT 目を細める
- To squint is to close your eyes partly, in order to reduce the light entering them or to see better.
- squint は、目を細めるという意味です。目に入ってくる光の量を調節したり、焦点を絞って物を良く見たりするためにする動作です。
- My teacher writes so small I have to squint to read the blackboard.
- I've got a headache from squinting all afternoon in the bright sunlight.
- (a father to his child)
Don't squint, dear. Where are your glasses?
All the best until tomorrow!
