Explanation

  • To wash your hair is to use water - and (usually) shampoo - to clean it. 

    To dry your hair is to use a blow dryer, towel, etc. to make it no longer wet.
  • wash your hair は、髪を洗う(普通、シャンプーを使います)という意味です。

    dry your hair  は、ドライヤーやタオルなどを使って髪を乾かす、という意味です。

examples

  1. a: How often do you wash your hair?
    b: Every other day. How about you?
  2. I've started washing my hair with baby shampoo. My hair looks a lot shinier and healthier now.
  3. (a mother to her child)
    Don't forget to dry your hair before you go to bed, or you'll catch cold.
